Calcined Petroleum Coke
This premium product is produced by heating high-quality raw 'green' petroleum coke in rotary kilns, reaching precise temperatures between 1200
and 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit). These intense temperatures effectively eliminate excess moisture, remove all residual hydrocarbons, and
transform the crystalline structure of the coke. The result is a denser, more electrically conductive material. Within just a few hours,
the calcined petroleum coke is cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and
ready for transport to storage silos or direct shipment via containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
----The primary applications of calcined petroleum coke include prebaked anodes and anode pastes used in electrolytic aluminum production, carbonizers for the carbon industry, graphite electrodes, smelting industrial silicon, and as a fuel source.
