Calcined Petroleum Coke
Our Calcined Petroleum Coke is crafted by processing premium quality raw 'green' petroleum coke. This transformation takes place in state-of-the-art rotary kilns, where they are meticulously heated to temperatures ranging from 1200
to 1350 degrees C (2192 to 2460 F). Such elevated heat levels are essential to thoroughly eliminate excessive moisture, extract all residual hydrocarbons,
and restructure the crystalline framework of the coke. This process yields a denser and more electrically conductive product, completed within mere hours.
Following the calcination, the petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees C to a manageable under-200 degrees C, ensuring safe handling and
seamless transportation. It is then moved to storage silos or directly loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels for distribution.
----The primary applications of calcined petroleum coke include creating prebaked anodes and anode pastes crucial for the electrolytic aluminum industry. It is also an integral component for carbonizers in the carbon industry, graphite electrodes, industrial silicon smelting, and as a reliable fuel source.
