Calcined Petroleum Coke
Crafted through an intricate process, Calcined Petroleum Coke is produced by subjecting high-quality raw 'green' petroleum coke to the intense heat of rotary kilns.
These kilns operate at temperatures ranging from 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit). Such extreme heat effectively removes excess moisture, eliminates residual hydrocarbons,
and transforms the crystalline structure of the coke. The result is a denser, more electrically conductive product, achieved in mere hours.
Once the calcination process is complete, the petroleum coke is rapidly cooled down from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling.
After cooling, the calcined petroleum coke is ready for storage in silos or direct shipment via containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
