and 1350 degrees C (2192 to 2460 F). At these elevated temperatures, the process efficiently eliminates excess moisture, while thoroughly extracting any residual hydrocarbons, and
simultaneously modifying the crystalline structure of the coke. This results in a denser, more electrically conductive product. This incredible transformation occurs within a few hours,
as calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees C to below 200 degrees C. At this point, it is perfectly safe for handling and
transportation to storage silos, or can be directly loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels for seamless distribution.
