to 1350 degrees C (2192 to 2460 F). These elevated temperatures effectively eliminate excess moisture, and draw out all residual hydrocarbons, while also
altering the crystalline structure of the coke. This transformation yields a denser product that exhibits superior electrical conductivity. Within hours,
the calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees C to a manageable temperature below 200 degrees C. At this point, it is safe for handling and
transport to storage silos or direct placement into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels for distribution.
