Calcined Petroleum Coke is meticulously produced by placing premium-grade raw 'green' petroleum coke into rotary kilns, where it undergoes an intense heating process reaching temperatures between 1200
to 1350 degrees C (2192 to 2460 F). This extreme heat treatment removes excess moisture, extracts all residual hydrocarbons, and
transforms the crystalline structure of the coke, culminating in a denser and more electrically conductive material. Within a few hours,
the calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees C to below 200 degrees C, making it safe to handle and
ready for transport. It can then be stored in silos or shipped directly using containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
----The primary applications of calcined petroleum coke include its use in prebaked anodes and anode pastes for electrolytic aluminum, carbonizers for the carbon industry, graphite electrodes, smelting industrial silicon, and fuels.
