CPCCalcined Petroleum Coke This premium product is crafted by subjecting high-quality raw 'green' petroleum coke to rigorous heat treatment in rotary kilns.
Here, temperatures soar between an impressive 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit).
At such high temperatures, all excess moisture is eradicated, residual hydrocarbons are extracted, and the crystalline structure of the coke is refined. This process results in a denser, more electrically conductive product. After reaching peak temperatures, calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled to below 200 degrees Celsius, ensuring safe handling and transport. It is then ready for storage in silos or can be directly loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
