This high-grade product is born from the transformation of premium raw 'green' petroleum coke. Through an intricate process within rotary kilns, this raw material is exposed to exceptionally high temperatures ranging from 1200
to 1350 degrees Celsius (equivalent to 2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit). These intense heat levels meticulously eliminate excess moisture, refine all remaining hydrocarbons, and
restructure the crystalline formation of the coke. The result is a superior, denser product with heightened electrical conductivity, achieved within mere hours of processing.
Following this transformation, calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius. This swift cooling process ensures it can be handled safely and
readily transported to storage facilities, or seamlessly moved into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels for distribution.
