Coke, The raw material for our metallurgical coke primarily consists of high-grade coking coal with exceptional bonding characteristics, such as coking coal and fertilizer coal, often combined for optimal production results. Our coke production leverages advanced, high-temperature retorting processes, utilizing state-of-the-art, large-scale coke oven equipment. The carbonization chamber height exceeds 6.0m, and the overall volume is more than 38.5m3. Predominantly, our coke products serve the metallurgical industry, particularly in blast furnace ironmaking and casting applications.

The Main Purpose of Coke:

1. As the most crucial product of the coking process, more than 90% of coke production worldwide is dedicated to blast furnace ironmaking. Replacing charcoal with coke for iron smelting has marked a significant milestone in the modernization of large-scale blast furnaces, solidifying its cornerstone role in metallurgy.

2. Our coke is also vital in the production of various non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, zinc, titanium, and antimony via blast furnace smelting. It acts as a reducing agent, heat source, and structural support within the furnace.

3. Within the smelting industry, although used in smaller quantities, coke remains essential for the production of calcium carbide, carbon disulfide, phosphorus, and other elements. It also serves as a sintered fuel in steel joint ventures and as a raw material for synthesizing water gas.

4. For optimal technical and economic performance in blast furnace operations, smelting coke (metallurgical coke) must exhibit appropriate chemical, physical, and thermal properties tailored to the smelting process.

5. Beyond its extensive use in iron and non-ferrous metal smelting (metallurgical coke), our coke is also employed in casting, chemical industries, calcium carbide production, and ferroalloys.

Our metallurgical coke can effectively substitute refinery coke or stone grinds on a large scale, offering significant cost advantages. With a calorific value exceeding 9386K/KG, it is also suitable as a fuel, potentially replacing burnt carbon, which often faces export restrictions and higher prices.
