The production process involves meticulous coal blending and high-temperature retorting in advanced, large-scale coke ovens. These ovens boast a carbonization chamber height exceeding 6.0m and a volume of over 38.5m3. Primarily, this elite coke is utilized in the metallurgical sector, particularly in blast furnace ironmaking and casting, making it an indispensable component for industrial applications.

The Main Purpose of Coke:

1. As the most crucial product of coking, over 90% of coke worldwide is dedicated to blast furnace ironmaking. Replacing charcoal, coke has paved the way for large-scale blast furnace operations, marking a pivotal milestone in the history of metallurgy.

2. Essential for the smelting of copper, lead, zinc, titanium, antimony, and other non-ferrous metals, coke serves as a reducing agent, heat source, and structural support within blast furnaces.

3. In the smelting industry, a smaller fraction of coke is used in the preparation of calcium carbide, carbon disulfide, phosphorus, and other elements. In steel joint ventures, coke powder is also employed as a sintering fuel. Additionally, coke is integral in producing water gas, a precursor for various synthetic materials.

4. To ensure optimal technical and economic outcomes in blast furnace operations, it is imperative that smelting coke (metallurgical coke) possesses the appropriate chemical and physical properties, including thermal attributes vital for the smelting process.

5. Beyond its widespread use in iron and non-ferrous metal smelting (metallurgical coke), coke is also invaluable in casting, chemical industries, the production of calcium carbide, and ferroalloys.

Coke is a cost-effective alternative to refinery coke and stone grinds. Its calorific value surpasses 9386K/KG, making it a viable fuel option that can significantly replace burnt carbon.
