The main purpose of coke:

1. As the cornerstone product of coking, over 90% of coke globally is dedicated to blast furnace ironmaking. The shift from charcoal to coke in iron smelting has revolutionized large-scale blast furnace operations, marking a pivotal milestone in metallurgical history.
