Created from premium raw 'green' petroleum coke, our calcined petroleum coke undergoes a meticulous process in rotary kilns. These kilns heat the coke to temperatures ranging from 1200
to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit). At these elevated temperatures, excess moisture is eradicated, all residual hydrocarbons are extracted, and
the crystalline structure of the coke is transformed, yielding a denser, more electrically conductive material. Within a few hours,
calcined petroleum coke is cooled from its peak temperature of 1350 degrees Celsius down to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and
transportation. The product is then moved to storage silos or directly loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
