CPCCalcined Petroleum Coke Our Low Volatile High Carbon Calcined Coke is produced by placing premium-grade raw 'green' petroleum coke into advanced rotary kilns, where it undergoes a high-temperature transformation.
These state-of-the-art kilns heat the material to temperatures ranging from 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit).
Through this intense heating process, all excess moisture is eradicated, residual hydrocarbons are completely eliminated, and the coke's crystalline structure is refined. This results in a denser, more electrically conductive product. Within a few hours, the temperature of the calcined petroleum coke is brought down from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and transportation to storage silos or direct shipment via containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
