Calcined Petroleum Coke
Crafted through the meticulous process of heating high-quality raw "green" petroleum coke in rotary kilns, this superior coke is subjected to intense temperatures ranging from 1200
to 1350 degrees C (2192 to 2460 F). Such high temperatures effectively eliminate excess moisture, purge all remaining hydrocarbons, and
transform the crystalline structure of the coke. This results in a product that is significantly denser and exhibits enhanced electrical conductivity. In just a few hours,
calcined petroleum coke undergoes rapid cooling from 1350 degrees C to under 200 degrees C, ensuring it is safe for handling and
ready to be efficiently transported to storage silos, or directly dispatched into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
----Calcined petroleum coke has diverse applications, including use in prebaked anodes and anode pastes for the electrolytic aluminum process, as carbonizers in the carbon industry, graphite electrodes, industrial silicon smelting, and as a high-energy fuel source.

Casting, whether it involves cast iron, cast steel, or other materials, often requires precise carbon control. As a carburant, this product elevates the carbon content in liquid iron, crucial for smelting applications. Typically used in smelting furnace charges alongside pig iron and scrap steel, it offers a cost-effective solution by reducing the need for expensive pig iron while maintaining high carbon levels, ultimately lowering casting costs without compromising quality.
Calcined Petroleum Coke serves predominantly in metallurgy and foundry applications. It is perfect for raising the carbon content during steel melting and casting processes. By incorporating this product, not only can the amount of scrap steel be maximized, but the reliance on pig iron can be decreased or even eliminated. It also finds usage in the production of brake pedals and friction materials, underscoring its wide-ranging applicability and effectiveness.
