Coke, The foundation of our Foundry Coke is primarily high-quality coking coal, known for its excellent bonding capabilities. This involves carefully crafted coal blending strategies, using premium-grade coking and fertilizer coal. The production process is spearheaded by high-temperature retorting, supported by state-of-the-art, large-scale coke oven technology. Our sophisticated top coke oven carbonization chambers tower over 6.0 meters, boasting a remarkable volume exceeding 38.5 cubic meters. Predominantly, the coke products serve the metallurgical industry, notably in blast furnace ironmaking and casting applications.
The main purpose of coke:
1. As the premier product of coking, more than 90% of the coke produced globally is dedicated to blast furnace ironmaking. Replacing charcoal with coke in iron smelting marked a pivotal milestone in the history of metallurgy, laying the cornerstone for modernized large-scale blast furnaces.
2. Our coke plays a crucial role in the smelting of non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, zinc, titanium, and antimony, acting as a reducing agent, heat provider, and structural column skeleton.
3. In the smelting industry, coke is indispensable for the preparation of calcium carbide, carbon disulfide, phosphorus, and other vital elements. In steel joint ventures, coke powder is often utilized as sintered fuel. Additionally, coke serves as a raw material in the synthesis of water gas.
4. To optimize the technical and economic efficiency of blast furnace operations, our smelting coke (metallurgical coke) is engineered to exhibit ideal chemical and physical properties, crucial for the thermal dynamics of the smelting process.
5. Beyond its extensive use in iron and non-ferrous metal smelting (metallurgical coke), our coke is also sought after in casting, chemical industries, calcium carbide, and ferroalloy production.
Our coke stands out as an economical alternative to refinery coke and stone grinds, costing significantly less while offering a calorific value exceeding 9386 K/KG, making it viable as a fuel source. It also provides a cost-effective substitute for burnt carbon, noting its exportation quota requirements, which highlight the competitive advantage of our carburizing agent.
