Introduction:
Calcium Base Grease This remarkable substance is crafted using a medium viscosity mineral lubricating oil, expertly thickened by natural fatty acid calcium soap. The synthesis of calcium base grease is a testament to innovation.
Our calcium base grease is meticulously formulated with medium viscosity mineral oil, thickened by advanced synthetic fatty acid calcium soap, ensuring high performance.
Performance Characteristics
(1) Calcium base grease ingeniously forms hydrates due to the interaction of calcium soap with water. These hydrates enable the creation of highly dispersed fibers within mineral oil. However, the hydrates hydrolyze around 100 ºC, resulting in a gradual loss of consistency above this temperature, restricting its operational range to below 60 ºC. Exceeding this temperature can lead to the grease becoming soft or even entirely dissipating, compromising lubrication.
(2) Renowned for its excellent water resistance, calcium base grease maintains its integrity without emulsifying, even in environments involving water exposure. Ideal for lubricating mechanical components in moist or water-contact settings.
(3) Exhibiting impressive shearing stability and thixotropic properties, calcium base grease retains its presence on surfaces post-agitation, delivering a sealing effect and preventing unnecessary loss.
(4) Enhanced by short fibers and a low strength threshold, calcium base grease showcases superior pumping performance. When matched for consistency with the same mineral oil,
calcium-based grease offers easier binding compared to other soap-based greases, such as sodium-based or aluminum-based variants.
Despite its origin in the 1930s, calcium-based grease continues to be a globally favored choice. It effectively lubricates rolling and sliding bearings at medium speeds and loads across small to medium-sized motors, water pumps, tractors, automobiles, as well as in metallurgy and textile machinery.
