Coke, Our high-quality metallurgical coke is primarily derived from coking coal known for its strong bonding capabilities. The production process involves blending various types of coal, such as coking coal and fertilizer coal. Utilizing advanced technology, our production predominantly employs high-temperature retorting within large-sized coke ovens. These ovens feature mature technology with carbonization chamber heights exceeding 6.0m and volumes over 38.5m³. This exceptional coke is ideal for metallurgical industries, especially in blast furnace ironmaking and casting applications.

The main purpose of coke:

1. As the paramount product of coking, more than 90% of the coke produced worldwide is utilized in blast furnace ironmaking. The use of coke in place of charcoal in iron smelting has been a foundational development, marking a significant milestone in the history of metallurgy.

2. Coke is also integral for smelting other metals such as copper, lead, zinc, titanium, and antimony in blast furnaces. It serves as a reducing and heat agent, as well as a structural component in the smelting process.

3. In smaller quantities, coke is used in the preparation of calcium carbide, carbon disulfide, phosphorus, and other elements in the smelting industry. Additionally, coke powder serves as sintered fuel in steel joint ventures and as a raw material for synthesizing water gas.

4. To optimize technical and economic outcomes in blast furnace operations, metallurgical coke must possess suitable chemical, physical, and thermal properties that support the smelting process effectively.

5. Beyond its extensive use in iron and non-ferrous metal smelting, coke is also employed in casting, chemical production, calcium carbide manufacture, and ferroalloy industries.

Coke can significantly replace refinery coke or stone grinds at a much lower cost. As a fuel, its high calorific value surpasses 9386K/KG, making it a viable substitute for burnt carbon, which requires export quotas. This cost-effectiveness of coke as a carburizing agent presents a clear economic advantage.
