Calcined Petroleum Coke
Created through a meticulous process, our high-quality raw 'green' petroleum coke undergoes transformation in rotary kilns, where it is exposed to extreme temperatures ranging between 1200
and 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit). These elevated temperatures effectively eliminate excess moisture and extract all residual hydrocarbons,
while simultaneously altering the crystalline structure of the coke. This process yields a denser and significantly more electrically conductive product, ready within hours.
Following calcination, the petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and
ideal for transportation. It can then be efficiently stored in silos or immediately loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
----The primary applications of calcined petroleum coke include prebaked anodes and anode pastes for the electrolytic aluminum industry, carbonizers for the carbon sector, graphite electrodes, industrial silicon smelting, and as a fuel source.
