Product Description

Introduction:

Calcium Base Grease This exceptional lubricant is crafted from medium viscosity mineral lubricating oil, expertly thickened by natural fatty acid calcium soap. With a synthesis rooted in calcium base grease,
it combines mineral lubricating oil of medium viscosity with a thickening agent made from synthetic fatty acid calcium soap, ensuring reliable performance.
Performance Characteristics

(1) Thanks to the unique ability of calcium soap to form hydrates with water, these hydrates facilitate the development of highly dispersed fibers within the mineral oil. However, they hydrolyze at approximately 100 ºC, explaining why calcium base grease loses its consistency beyond this point, thus restricting its operational temperature range. Typically, it should not exceed 60 ºC, as surpassing this temperature risks the grease becoming overly soft, compromising the lubrication quality.

(2) Exhibiting excellent water resistance, calcium base grease remains stable without emulsifying or degrading when exposed to water. It is, therefore, ideal for lubricating various mechanical components in wet conditions or water-contact environments.

(3) Noteworthy for its robust shearing stability and thixotropic properties, calcium base grease is designed to remain on operational surfaces even after agitation, providing a sealing effect and preventing throw-off.

(4) With outstanding pumping performance attributed to its short fiber and low strength limit, calcium base grease offers unparalleled ease of binding, especially when compared to other soap-based greases like sodium or aluminum-based varieties.

When achieving the same consistency using the identical mineral oil, calcium-based grease demonstrates superior binding capabilities over its counterparts.
Despite originating in the 1930s, calcium-based grease still holds a dominant position in global usage today. It is perfectly suited for lubricating rolling and sliding bearings under medium speed and load in smaller motors, water pumps, tractors, automobiles, metallurgy, and textile machinery, among others.
