to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 Fahrenheit). Such high temperatures are crucial for vaporizing surplus moisture, eliminating all residual hydrocarbons, and
transforming the crystalline structure of the coke. This process results in a product that is significantly denser and possesses superior electrical conductivity, all achieved within hours.
Once the calcination process is complete, the petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to a manageable and safe temperature of less than 200 degrees Celsius,
making it ready for secure handling. It can then be efficiently transported to storage silos or directly loaded into various modes of transportation such as shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
