Coke, Primarily derived from coking coal with strong adhesive properties, the raw material used in our Foundry Coke undergoes meticulous selection and blending processes, utilizing coking coal, fertilizer coal, and others. The production predominantly relies on advanced high-temperature retorting, with mature technology employed in large-sized coke ovens. These ovens boast a carbonization chamber height exceeding 6.0 meters and a volume greater than 38.5 cubic meters. Our coke products are essential in the metallurgical sector, primarily serving blast furnace ironmaking and casting applications.

The main purpose of coke:

1. As the cornerstone product of coking, coke is indispensable, with over 90% of its usage dedicated to blast furnace ironmaking. Replacing charcoal with coke in iron smelting, it heralds a monumental advancement, underpinning the development of modern large blast furnaces—a significant milestone in the history of metallurgy.

2. Beyond iron, coke plays a vital role in the smelting of non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, zinc, titanium, and antimony. It serves as a reducing agent, heat source, and structural support.

3. In the smelting industry, coke finds limited use in creating calcium carbide, carbon disulfide, phosphorus, and other elements. It also acts as a sintered fuel in steel joint ventures. Furthermore, coke is a crucial raw material in the production of water gas, which is pivotal for synthesizing other materials.

4. To optimize blast furnace operations and achieve superior technical and economic performance, smelting coke, or metallurgical coke, must possess specific chemical and physical attributes, including excellent thermal properties for effective smelting processes.

5. Besides extensive use in iron and non-ferrous metal smelting, metallurgical coke is integral to casting, chemical processes, calcium carbide production, and ferroalloy manufacturing.


Foundry Coke can substantially replace costly refinery coke or stone grinds, offering significant cost advantages. As a fuel, its calorific value exceeds 9386 KJ/KG, making it a viable alternative to burnt carbon, which requires export quotas.
