Calcined Petroleum Coke
This premium-grade Calcined Petroleum Coke is produced by placing the finest raw 'green' petroleum coke into rotary kilns. These kilns elevate the material to searing temperatures ranging from 1200
to 1350 degrees C (2192 to 2460 F). At these extreme temperatures, the process effectively removes excess moisture, expels the remaining hydrocarbons, and
transforms the crystalline structure of the coke. This results in a denser, more electrically conductive product designed for high-performance applications. In just a few hours,
the calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees C to below 200 degrees C, making it safe for handling and
transport. The final product is then stored in silos or directly loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels for distribution.
----Calcined petroleum coke is primarily used in prebaked anodes and anode pastes for electrolytic aluminum production. It also serves as a carbonizer in the carbon industry, is critical for making graphite electrodes, is vital for smelting industrial silicon, and is a reliable fuel source.
