Calcined Petroleum Coke
Introducing Calcined Petroleum Coke, a premium-grade carbon product created by placing high-quality raw 'green' petroleum coke into specialized rotary kilns. These kilns heat the material to impressive temperatures ranging between 1200
to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit). This extreme heat treatment effectively removes excess moisture, extracts all remaining hydrocarbons, and
transforms the crystalline structure of the coke. The result is a denser, more electrically conductive product, perfected in just a matter of hours.
Once the process is complete, the calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, ensuring it can be handled safely and
efficiently transported to storage silos or directly loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
----The main uses of calcined petroleum coke include prebaked anodes and anode pastes for electrolytic aluminum, carbonizers for the carbon industry, graphite electrodes, industrial silicon smelting, and as a high-energy fuel source.
