The Main Purpose of Coke:

1. As the cornerstone product of coking, over 90% of coke is utilized in blast furnace ironmaking globally. It has replaced charcoal in iron smelting, significantly contributing to the modernization of large blast furnaces—a historical milestone in metallurgy.

2. Essential for casting and smelting non-ferrous metals like copper, lead, zinc, titanium, and antimony, coke serves as a reducing agent, heat agent, and column skeleton support in the blast furnace smelting process.

3. In the smelting industry, coke is sparingly used to prepare calcium carbide, carbon disulfide, phosphorus, and other elements. Additionally, in steel joint ventures, coke powder acts as a sintered fuel and can be a raw material for producing water gas for synthesis.

4. To achieve superior technical and economic indicators in blast furnace operations, smelting coke (metallurgical coke) must possess optimal chemical and physical properties, including superior thermal characteristics for the smelting process.

5. Beyond extensive use in iron and non-ferrous metal smelting, coke (metallurgical coke) is also indispensable in casting, chemical processes, calcium carbide, and ferroalloy production.

Our coke can significantly replace refinery coke or stone grinds, providing a cost-effective alternative. With a calorific value exceeding 9,386K/KG, it is also an efficient fuel source, potentially substituting burnt carbon, which requires an export quota.
