1. As the cornerstone of coking, over 90% of coke production globally is dedicated to blast furnace ironmaking. This transition from charcoal to iron smelting coke was foundational in modernizing large-scale blast furnaces and is celebrated as a significant milestone in metallurgical history.
2. Coke plays a critical role in the casting of non-ferrous metals, including copper, lead, zinc, titanium, and antimony. It acts as a reducing agent, heat source, and structural backbone in blast furnace smelting processes.
3. Within the smelting industry, coke is sparingly used for calcium carbide production and in creating carbon disulfide, phosphorus, and other elements. In steel joint ventures, coke powder is also a vital sintered fuel. Additionally, coke serves as a raw material in producing water gas and synthesizing various raw materials.
4. For optimal blast furnace performance and superior technical-economic results, smelting coke must exhibit specific chemical and physical properties, including adequate thermal attributes essential for the smelting process.
5. Beyond its extensive use in iron and non-ferrous metal smelting (metallurgical coke), coke also plays a crucial role in casting, chemical industries, calcium carbide, and ferroalloy production.
Our coke can significantly replace refinery coke or stone grinds due to its lower costs. Serving as a carbon additive, its calorific value exceeds 9386K/KG, making it an excellent fuel alternative to burnt carbon. Given the exportation quota for burnt carbon, the economic advantage of using our carburizing agent is similarly pronounced.
