CPC Calcined Petroleum Coke Our Industrial Calcined Coke is meticulously produced by placing premium quality raw 'green' petroleum coke into rotary kilns and heating it to optimal temperatures.
These temperatures range between 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit).
At these high temperatures, excess moisture is eliminated, residual hydrocarbons are extracted, and the crystalline structure is modified. This process results in a denser, more electrically conductive product. Within hours, the calcined petroleum coke is cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and transport to storage or shipping containers.
