Product Description

CPC Calcined Petroleum Coke Our Low Volatile Calcined Coke is meticulously crafted by placing premium raw 'green' petroleum coke into rotary kilns, where it undergoes high-temperature treatment.
These kilns heat the coke to precise temperatures ranging between 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 Fahrenheit), ensuring optimal transformation.
At these elevated temperatures, excess moisture is eradicated, residual hydrocarbons are thoroughly extracted, and the crystalline structure of the coke is enhanced. This process results in a denser, more electrically conductive product. Following this, within a few short hours, the calcined petroleum coke is carefully cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and transport. The final product is then ready to be stored in silos or directly shipped via containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
