It is derived from the finest raw petroleum coke available. It is created by placing high-quality raw 'green' petroleum coke into rotary kilns, where it is meticulously heated.
to temperatures ranging between 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit).
These high temperatures effectively eliminate excess moisture, extract residual hydrocarbons, and enhance the crystalline structure of the coke, resulting in a denser, more electrically conductive product. Within hours, calcined petroleum coke is cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe to handle and ready for transport to storage silos or direct shipping via containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
