CPCCalcined Petroleum Coke Our High Purity Calcined Coke is meticulously crafted by placing premium raw "green" petroleum coke into rotary kilns and subjecting it to intense heat.
This heating process occurs at temperatures ranging from 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (219
2 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit). These elevated temperatures effectively eliminate excess moisture, extract residual hydrocarbons, and refine the crystalline structure, transforming the coke into a denser, more electrically conductive product. Within a matter of hours, the calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and subsequent storage in silos or direct transport via shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
