CPCCalcined Petroleum Coke Our high purity Calcined Petroleum Coke is meticulously crafted by placing premium raw "green" petroleum coke into advanced rotary kilns, where it undergoes a precise heating process.
The material is heated to intense temperatures ranging between 1200 and 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit).
This high-temperature treatment effectively removes excess moisture, extracts all residual hydrocarbons, and alters the crystalline structure of the coke. The result is a denser, more electrically conductive product. Within hours, the calcined petroleum coke is efficiently cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and transportation. It is then readied for storage in silos or can be directly loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
