CPC Calcined Petroleum Coke Our Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) is crafted by processing top-tier raw "green" petroleum coke in rotary kilns, undergoing a meticulous heating process.
This coke undergoes intense heating at temperatures spanning from 1200 to 1350 degrees C (2192 to 2460 degrees F).
Through this high-temperature treatment, excess moisture is evaporated, residual hydrocarbons are expelled, and the coke's crystalline structure is refined. This results in a denser, more electrically conductive material. Within mere hours, this calcined petroleum coke cools from 1350 degrees C to a manageable sub-200 degrees C, making it ready for secure handling and swift transportation to storage silos or directly into various shipping mediums such as containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels.
