CPCCalcined Petroleum Coke Our High Purity Calcined Coke begins its journey as high-quality raw 'green' petroleum coke, which is then meticulously processed in state-of-the-art rotary kilns.
These kilns elevate the temperature to an intense range of 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit).
This high-temperature treatment eliminates excess moisture, extracts all remaining hydrocarbons, and modifies the crystalline structure of the coke, resulting in a denser, more electrically conductive product. Within hours, calcined petroleum coke is cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and ready for transport to storage silos or direct shipping via container, truck, railcar, barge, or vessel.
