CPCCalcined Petroleum Coke Crafted through a meticulous process, Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) is derived by heating superior raw 'green' petroleum coke in rotary kilns.
The coke is exposed to intense temperatures ranging from 1200 to 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit),
transforming it into a denser, more electrically conductive material. This high-temperature treatment effectively removes excess moisture, extracts any remaining hydrocarbons, and modifies the crystalline structure of the coke. Within hours, the calcined petroleum coke is rapidly cooled from 1350 degrees Celsius to below 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling and transport. Subsequently, the product is stored in silos or loaded into shipping containers, trucks, railcars, barges, or vessels for dispatch.
